A private, browser-based tool for combining files securely.

Our Mission

merge.zip was built with one goal: to make file merging and archive creation simple, fast, and private. Unlike traditional online file tools, merge.zip never uploads your files, everything runs directly inside your browser.

Privacy-First Design

We believe privacy should be the default, not a feature. merge.zip uses locally loaded (browser) Javascript to process files locally (JSZip). No files are transmitted, stored, or analyzed by any external service.

Archive Management

While existing online tools exist to create zip files, merge.zip allows you to extract specific items from one or multiple archives (.zip, .tar.gz, .7zip, etc...) into one, without needing to extract each archive. You can use this as a tool to create a .zip with ANY file type!

Credits

merge.zip uses open-source components such as JSZip for archive handling and standard Web APIs for file I/O. Design inspiration comes from the simplicity of local desktop utilities combined with the portability of web apps. We hope you can find a use for this web application.
